Enjoy to Eat – Eat to Enjoy

Some people say don’t live to eat, eat to live. I prefer the word enjoy.

Food (and its preparation) should be joyful.

My kitchen is a place of contentment. It’s sparse on cabinetry, but I find I have room for everything. An old pine table sits in the middle and serves many roles: prep station, staging area, and dining table.

There is no TV in my kitchen.

I strive to create an environment where I can get lost in a world of aromas, textures, and colors. An environment where family and friends feel welcome and relaxed.

For me, cooking is not all about the end product.  It’s about the steps along the way: planning, preparing, savoring, enjoying.

It’s about cooking serenely.
